After (2019)

After, directed by Jenny Gage and based on Anna Todd’s 2014 novel of the same name, stars Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Josephine Langford as Hardin Scott and Tessa Young, respectively, in its narrative about an undergraduate who begins dating an unusual student during her initial months at college.

Tessa Young is an exceptional student, responsible daughter, and faithful girlfriend to Noah from high school as she transitions into college life with this lifestyle in place–until she meets Hardin Scott. Hardin has dark secrets from his past that Tessa finds magnetic. At first, he is drawn by Hardin’s rebellious nature and confidence but quickly realizes he’s emotionally damaged and manipulative.

After We Collided (2020)

After We Collided is the sequel to the 2019 film After and is based on Anna Todd’s second book from her After series. Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Josephine Langford reprise their roles of Hardin Scott and Tessa Young in this sequel film.

After the first film’s events, Tessa and Hardin are back together, but their relationship is more turbulent than ever. Hardin struggles with internal demons that must be confronted, while Tessa begins to understand he may not be the person she thought he was.

Tessa finds herself drawn to Trevor Matthews when she interns at an illustrious publishing house, as he represents everything Tessa doesn’t appreciate about Hardin and finds herself drawn towards him.

After We Fell (2021)

When Tessa makes the most momentous decision of her life, everything changes – new revelations regarding both families throw everything they knew into question, making their hard-won future together more challenging to secure.

After We Fell ended with Tessa leaving Hardin, yet in After Ever Happy, they find themselves back together again despite difficulties within their relationships; Hardin still struggles with his demons while Tessa struggles to figure out her desired goals in life.

As Tessa and Hardin work to navigate their relationship, they also must deal with the difficulties presented by both of their families. Hardin’s father, Ken Scott, is an influential businessman determined to control Hardin’s life, while Richard Young (Tessa’s father) is an alcoholic struggling with his recovery efforts.

Tessa and Hardin must decide whether to continue fighting for their relationship or part ways for good.

After Everything (2023)

Castille Landon wrote and directed the American romantic drama film After Everything, based on Anna Todd’s After novel series. As its direct sequel and fifth and final installment in the After film series, After Everything stars Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin, respectively, reprising their roles of Tessa Young and Hardin Scott.

Hardin finds himself struggling to recover after his breakup with Tessa. To regain himself and win back Tessa, he travels to Portugal, searching for someone he wronged. He hopes that finding themselves there might lead to something meaningful – and an understanding that things must change before making a commitment permanent.
